Nicole Amell at Aspinwall Equestrian Center
Nicole Amell has been teaching riding lessons since
the age of 15. Being brought up immersed in Pony Club has given her a solid foundation. Since the age of 18 she has traveled all over the U.S. with horses. She has worked and trained with international high-caliber farms, trainers and riders. She has since fine-tuned her teaching skills and developed a philosophy of “It’s all about the horse.” Nicole teaches beginning to experienced riders in a fun and entertaining manner, instilling a deep and loving respect and partnership with the horse. Starting all riders with a solid base of flat work and understanding of how to communicate with the horse, she encourages all riders to be multi-disciplined. From this solid foundation, riders can go any direction with his/her riding experience, including equitation, jumpers, hunters, dressage, eventing, western pleasure, showmanship, team penning, extreme cowboy races, natural horsemanship, or even simply enjoying trail riding. Nicole encourages all avenues of enjoying horses, and is willing to help any rider go in any direction. Nicole has the care and warmth to teach the younger children, as well as the knowledge and drive to educate more driven show students. She is also experienced in starting young horses under saddle, retraining race horses for careers in the show ring, and counseling and problem-solving for the emotionally troubled horse. Due to her belief in the connection between horse and rider, Nicole is adept at matching the rider with the right horse, and offers her expertise when it comes time to find a new equine partner. |
